Christian Beliefs on Sex
Unfortunately sex is somewhat of a taboo subject and couples are left to find answers for themselves.
Also there are actually many differing views on intimacy within Christianity.
Some believe certain positions and acts are allowed and they will cite direct Bible passage to prove their point, while others will maintain that the same positions shouldn't be allowed.
Let's go over what we do know about Christian beliefs on sex, and from there you and your Christian partner can come to your own conclusions.
1.
Safety in Intimacy.
Safety is one belief that all Christians can agree on.
Sex is a wonderful act from God, which should be celebrated, but in a safe manner which will not knowingly cause harm to you and your partner.
This means not practicing positions or acts which pose a high safety risk.
Acts of bondage, slapping, or overly physical acts should not be allowed.
2.
Agreement with your partner.
Christian beliefs on sex center around the idea of agreement between you and your partner.
That is, there should be agreement on which positions you practice, what acts you perform, how often you celebrate sex and so forth.
If a certain sexual position is uncomfortable or undesirable for your partner, then you should exclude it from your intimacy.
Also if one of you is not wanting to engage in intimacy, he or she shouldn't feel obligated to perform, rather the both of you should want to celebrate your intimacy in order to properly engage in Christian sex.
