- 1). Open Microsoft Windows Media Player. Click on the Start button of a computer with a Microsoft Windows operating system. In the menu that appears, select All Programs, and a new menu of options will display. Choose Windows Media Player from the options.
- 2). Add music to your library. To add music you already have on your computer, click on the Library tab. That will open a drop-down box of options. Choose "Add To Library..." to open a window in which you can select the media to add to your library. Click OK when you finish adding music.
- 3). Select the Sync tab at the top of the Windows Media Player screen.
- 4). Attach the iWave MP3 player to the computer. Insert a universal serial bus (USB) cable into an available USB port on the computer. A pop-up window in which you can set up your iWave player will appear.
- 5). Name your iWave in the pop-up window. Pressing the "Finish" button completes the renaming process and closes the pop-up window.
- 6). Format your iWave to prepare for synchronization. Click on the arrow at the bottom of the Sync tab. Go to the name you gave your iWave, and click on "Format." Formatting will delete current content on the device. Click "OK" twice to proceed.
- 7). Drag the content you want to copy to the iWave to the right-side toolbar and into the box titled Sync List. You can drag full play lists and songs on compact discs inserted into your computer as well as individual choices. The toolbar will provide information about your MP3 player, such as how much free space it has available.
- 8). Click on the "Sync" button at the bottom of the toolbar. That begins the synchronization process, which can take some time, depending on how many songs you transfer. Allow the progress bar to reach 100 percent.
