Spanish for Everyone

103 5
Speaking languages gives me a lot of satisfaction.
When I feel like I can communicate quite well in one foreign language, I want to learn another one and another one.
Although I must admit that studying few similar languages at the same time is not a good solution.
Once, I started learning Portuguese and Catalan almost the same day and I got really confused.
I began to mix them which had terrible consequences, but that's not what I wanted to talk about.
I started studying Portuguese because I could already speak Spanish.
And I must say it is an amazing feeling to be able to communicate with almost 500 million people.
Not that I know so many, but it sounds great! Have you ever heard that Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world? Isn't it interesting? I could talk to people not only from Spain, but also from South and Central America.
Well, so could you if you started studying it.
I don't know what your opinion is, but I love to communicate with foreigners in their language.
I still need to learn a lot, but at least I can communicate in three languages apart from my mother tongue.
As I have lived in Spain for four years now, and I bind my future with this country, I am really glad to have decided studying Spanish Philology.
Spain is a country that is constantly developing its international relationships and has a lot of possibilities for young, and not so young, people.
Nowadays, Spanish is a really popular language to learn.
I think we all know that speaking languages gives you many possibilities to find a job and opportunities to extend your knowledge.
Each day there are more and more multinational companies which can communicate in Spanish.
This language opens door to a new labour market.
Besides, Spain is a wonderful place to spend holidays.
According to Wikipedia in 2001 Spain was visited by almost 70 million tourists.
Each year Spanish tourism offers new work stands.
I have always thought it is a wonderful opportunity to work abroad.
I have even tried it and I must admit it was a great experience.
It gives satisfaction to be able to communicate with the residents and at the same time with the tourists who come from all over the world.
Spaniards are very nice, open and extraordinary people.
They are always willing to help you, want to take you to one of their famous fiestas, show you their way of living, introduce you to their customs and traditions.
And all of that of course in Spanish.
I must warn you that unfortunately they do not speak well English nor French, for their own misfortune.
That's why if you want to explore Spain and make friends with its inhabitants, I recommend you to study Spanish or at least to learn some words before going there.
Spaniards will be really thrilled and amazed by your knowledge of Spanish, and never laugh from your accent.
