How to Reboot Digital Cablevision Boxes
- 1). Unplug the power cord attached to the back of the digital cable box from the power source, which can include a wall outlet or power strip.
- 2). Plug the digital cable box's power cord back into the power source after five seconds have elapsed. The box will now begin its rebooting process. During this process, the box's screen will flash the word "Hold." The reboot process takes approximately three to five minutes. When the box has finished rebooting, the box's screen will display "Turn On."
- 3). Push the "CBL" button on your remote control, which is the top button on the remote's right-hand side, to turn on your digital cable box. The front screen on the box will display the time, indicating that the box has successfully rebooted.
- 4). Use the "multiple button press" method as an alternate way to reboot your box. Locate the "Vol+," "Vol-" and "Info" buttons on the front of your particular model of Cablevision digital cable box. Press and hold all three of these buttons at the same time until the box shuts down; release the buttons to begin the reboot process. During this process, the box's screen will flash the word "Hold." The reboot process takes approximately three to five minutes. When the box has finished rebooting, the box's screen will display "Turn On."
