Psalm 119:9-16

Verse 9

Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his ways?... by taking heed thereto according to thy word

Verse 10

With my whole heart have I sought thee:... O let me not wander from thy commandments.

Verse 11

Thy word have I hid in my heart,... that I might not sin against thee.

Verse 12

Blessed art thou, O LORD:... teach me thy statues.

Verse 13

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

Verse 14

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.

Verse 15

I will mediate in thy precepts,... and have... respect... unto thy ways.

Verse 16

I will delight myself in thy statues:... I will not forget thy word.

Luke 6:27-36

Verse 27

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies,... do good to them which hate you.

Verse 28

Bless them that curse you, and... pray... for them which despitefully use you.

Verse 29

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and let him that taketh away thy cloke... forbid not to take thy coat also.

Verse 30

Give to every man that asketh of thee: and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

Verse 31

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Verse 32

For if ye love them which love you,... what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

Verse 33

And if ye do good to them which do good to you,... what think have ye?... for sinners also do even the same.

Verse 34

And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive,... what thank have ye?...for sinners also lend to sinners,... to receive as much again.

Verse 35

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again: and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest:... for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Verse 36

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
