How to Do Betty Boop Makeup
- 1). Prep the skin. Prior to applying your makeup, it is important to cleanse, tone and moisturize your face. Allow your moisturizer to absorb into your skin for approximately 10 minutes. If you use a primer, apply this after your moisturizer has had sufficient time to dry.
- 2). Create the skin. Use either your fingers or a foundation brush to apply foundation to your face. Once your foundation is applied, it’s time to conceal any imperfections that weren’t covered by the foundation. This includes areas such as under the eyes or blemishes. Once your concealer has been applied, apply face powder to set your foundation.
- 3). Apply blush. Choose a semi-nude blush to compliment your foundation. Since you will be wearing a bold lipstick, you don’t want too much color from your blush. Use a blush brush to apply the color to the apples of your cheeks. If you accidentally get too much color, use your face powder to blend the color into your skin.
- 4). Apply eye makeup. Apply the eye shadow base to your eyelids. Use a nude colored eye shadow as a wash over your eyelid. If you’d like to contour your eyes, use a shadow that is 2 shades darker then the shadow you used all over your lid. Once your eye shadow is applied, line your eyes with black eyeliner. Line your top eyelid and lightly line then lightly line your bottom eyelid. Apply glue to the false eyelashes and then apply them to your eyes.
- 5). Create eyebrows. If you have light eyebrows, it is crucial that you create darker eyebrows otherwise your makeup will be off. Use a black eyebrow pencil to fill in your brows. Apply a light coat of mascara to your eyebrows to set the look.
- 6). Create the signature lips. Betty Boop’s signature red lips are pretty simple to create. Line your lips with lip liner. Use a lip brush to blend the color. Apply red lipstick to your lips. You’re done. Enjoy your new Betty Boop look!
