How to Make a Priestess Bow
- 1). Place a dowel that measures 1-inch wide and 48 inches long on a flat surface. Saw 1 inch into both ends to create a notch on the tips of the wooden dowel.
- 2). Cut a piece of 1/4-inch-wide woven nylon twine with scissors to measure 36 inches long.
- 3). Tie a knot onto one end of the twine, then slide the twine through one of the slits in the dowel. Tie a knot onto the other end of the twine. Stretch and slide the other end of the twine through the other slit in the dowel. The knots will prevent the twine from slipping out of the dowel. The tension will cause the dowel to bend over into an arch.
- 4). Squeeze puff paint into patterns around the wooden dowel, such as swirls or spirals. Allow the puff paint to dry for 30 minutes.
- 5). Paint the entire dowel with metallic acrylic paint, then allow the paint to dry for 30 minutes.
- 6). Push a hot glue stick into a hot glue gun. Then let the gun heat up for 10 minutes.
- 7). Squeeze a dime-sized dollop of hot glue onto one end of the dowel, and press three to four silk oak leaves onto the hot glue dollop. Hold the leaves in place for 1 minute to let the hot glue harden. Repeat to add three to four leaves onto the other end of the dowel.
