    Triangle Tech

    • Triangle Tech has six locations throughout Pennsylvania: Pittsburgh, Erie, Greensburg, DuBois, Sunbury and Bethlehem. It offers an associate degree in specialized technology with a major in carpentry and construction technology. Course topics include tools and safety, blueprint reading, cost estimating, remodeling, cabinet making, roofing techniques, interior millwork, exterior finishes, contracting and framing for floors, walls and roofs.

    Pennsylvania College of Technology

    • The School of Construction and Design Technologies at the Pennsylvania College of Technology offers two training programs in construction: a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management (BCM) and a Bachelor of Science in Building Science and Sustainable Design. The BCM degree includes general education courses in English, communication, math, physics and business in addition to hands-on training in construction materials and methods, surveying, estimating, structural analysis and design, project management and safety standards.

      The Building Science and Sustainable Design program trains students in all aspects of the design and construction of energy efficient buildings. Additional programs are also available in architectural technology, construction technology, electrical technology, construction management and technology for heating, ventilation and air conditioning.

    Community College of Philadelphia

    • The Community College of Philadelphia offers an associate in applied science degree in construction management. Course topics include construction materials and design, computer-aided drafting, building codes, surveying, cost estimating, contracting, structural analysis and building redevelopment. General education coursework in English, math, science and behavioral science is also required. Student must maintain a minimum GPA of at least 2.0 or better throughout the program.

    Lehigh Carbon Community College

    • Lehigh Carbon Community College offers both a certificate and an associate of applied science in construction technology. Course topics include blueprint reading, industrial math, basic architectural drafting, computer-aided drafting, manufacturing technology, framing construction and surveying. The degree program also includes general education coursework in the liberal arts and sciences and a professional construction practicum.

    Delaware County Community College

    • Delaware County Community College has several locations in Pennsylvania, including Media, Downingtown, Sharon Hill, Whiteland Business Park and West Grove. It offers many different course options in construction technology and management.

      Associate of applied science degree programs are available with majors in architectural technology, computer-aided drafting and design, construction management technology and power utility technology.

      Several certificate programs are also available, including residential and finish carpentry, electrical technology, construction supervision and building maintenance. Non-credit courses in carpentry, electrical technology and construction codes are also offered.
