    Basa Restaurant

    • Basa, located in Louisville, has a menu that offers Vietnamese ingredients with a modern twist. If you thought Vietnamese food was little more than noodles and soup, you'll be surprised to find dishes such as oysters with garlic mayonnaise and black bean sauce, caramelized catfish with smoked bacon and tamarind broth and eggplant with garlic chips, egg noodle and mushroom ragout. Run by two Vietnamese brothers, this eatery has garnered rave reviews from local publications such as Louisville Magazine, Food and Wine and Louisville Hot Bytes.

    Cafe Mimosa

    • Also situated in Louisville, this eatery offers a take-out and delivery service -- with the added bonus that you can order online -- as well as sit down meals. The menu offers staple Vietnamese dishes such as hot and sour soup, fish in clay pot, lemongrass, shrimp and noodle soup and chicken curry as well as noodles.

    Pho BC

    • This Lexington eatery takes its name from the popular soup with rice noodles. The menu is largely composed of noodles soups, soup with beef and stir fries with chicken, pork, beef or shrimp. They also have lesser known items such as avocado smoothies and meatball soup. This restaurant is tucked inside the Regency Shopping Center.

    Annie Cafe

    • It doesn't look like anything special from the outside, however Annie Cafe has garnered great reviews from the local press, and the menu covers all the classic Vietnamese dishes one would expect. Noodle soups with various ingredients are available, as well as char-grilled meats with crushed peanuts, grilled beef on sticks, pork chops, stir fries and an extensive selection of vegetarian options. A smaller, less expensive menu is offered at lunchtime.

    Lemongrass Restaurant

    • Lemongrass is a family-friendly, casual sort of eatery situated in Louisville. The food extends to Thai and Chinese as well as Vietnamese. You'll find hot and sour soup, a variety of noodle soups, shrimp or pork in clay pots and roasted quail sitting alongside won ton noodles and pad Thai on the menu here. Vegetarians will find plenty to choose from also.
