Homemade Coin Wrappers
- 1). Measure across the diameter of each of your coins. Quarters should be 1-inch across, nickels are about ½-inch, dimes ¼-inch and pennies about 3/8-inch. Double each measurement so your rolls will be the proper size.
- 2). Draw a rectangle on your paper for each coin. Each rectangle should be 3-inches long. Quarters should be 2-inches wide, nickels 1-inch, dimes ½-inch and pennies about ¾-inch. Cut out each rectangle.
- 3). Fold each rectangle in half lengthwise and crease it sharply. Unfold the rectangle and fold the long sides in toward the middle. Overlap the sides slightly, securing them together with a glue stick. Allow the rolls to dry overnight.
- 4). Poke you fingers into each flat roll to open it up for coins. Keep a finger in the bottom of the roll to keep it open while you fill it with coins. Fold down the ends of each roll and label them with a marker.
