Mercedes Bluetooth Instructions
- 1). Turn on Bluetooth on your cell phone. The instructions for activating Bluetooth are different for each cell phone model.
- 2). Press the "Tel" key on your radio to bring up the telephone display on the screen located above your radio.
- 3). Choose the "Phone" tab in the lower left corner of the screen. Select the tab by moving the controller located in your center console.
- 4). Choose "Phone List," then "Options," then "External Authorization."
- 5). Once the screen says, "Ready for External Authorization," your cell phone will search for Bluetooth devices. On your phone's Bluetooth page, you should see "MB Bluetooth" once the phone has discovered the vehicle's Bluetooth.
- 6). Once the vehicle detects your cell phone, the screen will read, "Do you want (name of your phone) to be Authorized?" Select "Yes" to authorize your phone.
- 7). Enter a passcode on the Mercedes screen when prompted. The passcode can be 1 to 16 digits, but Mercedes recommends at least 4 digits. Select "OK" when you are finished. Enter this same passcode on your cell phone when prompted to do so.
- 8). Select your phone from the "Update" list on the Mercedes screen. Once the connection is complete, you will see your phone in the bottom left corner of the main "Telephone" screen.
