How to Install the Apollo 3600 ETL Compact
- 1). Install the rectangular mounting post in the ground 2 feet in front of the gate on the side where you will install the Apollo 3600. The top of the post should be 2 inches above the horizontal pole that runs near the bottom of the gate. Attach the gate bracket to a structural post on the gate at the height of the horizontal pole.
- 2). Attach the Apollo 3600's control box to the wall next to the gate. It should be within 5 feet of where the operator will be installed, e.g., the mounting post.
- 3). Attach the mounting bracket to the top of the mounting post using a welder. Lay the operator chassis down horizontally on the ground and attach the primary arm to the drive shaft. The primary arms ears should be pointing in the direction in which the gate will close. Attach the drive unit to the mounting bracket.
- 4). Connect the secondary arm to the primary arm using the included nuts, bolts and washers. Connect the adjustable arms to the secondary arm. Connect the gate's bracket to the adjustable arm. Weld the C-clamp to the horizontal pole across the bottom of the gate.
- 5). Connect the operator and the control box using the included cables. Connect the operator to the battery. Press the "LED Enable" button found on the circuit board. Make sure the gate is closed and rotate the bottom collar of the operator until the "closed" LED lights up. Open the gate manually and rotate the top collar of the operator until the "open limit" LED lights up.
