Hi, my name is Taylor Babian. I'm a celebrity makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you some lipsticks that are flattering on all skin tones. So today, with my model, Lindsay, I'm going to show you a mauve that's great on her skin tone using a little bit of lip liner to darken it up. So the mauve lipstick I'm choosing today is L'Oreal Paris Infallible Lip Color. Really consider your skin tone because mauve does come in a big range of colors. So for Lindsay I'm using a mauve that has a little bit more warmth to it, not as bright. If you have fairer skin, you do want to go with something a little bit brighter. Anything with too much brown in it is just going to look a little bit dark. So for me the brush is actually a little bit more precision. It allows me to have a little bit more control but of course, lipstick when you're on the run is going to be a lot faster for you to something quick. So we're using a great mauve on Lindsay but it's a little bright so what I like to do is add some lip liner. So I'm applying it afterwards and when I'm choosing lip liner you want to choose a color that's a few shades darker than your natural lip line. So when you actually look really close into the mirror you can see that you have a darker line on your mouth, that's for her, a little bit more of a chestnut and that's going to help to really warm up that mauve. So I'm just going around her natural lip line and really softly. I don't want to see a line of demarcation. I don't want it to look like it's obvious that she has a darker lip line. What this does is actually creates shape. It really defines the mouth and then at the same time, it warms up that mauve lip color so that it's more wearable. And you could do this with all your lip colors. If you have any lipsticks that are a little too bright for you, just add a lip liner that's warm and it makes all your brighter colors wearable again.
