    • Harvard University's Business School offers an opportunity to study business development through a joint-degree program focused on the context of international business development. Harvard offers a joint-degree at the master's level in business administration (M.B.A.) and public policy and international development (M.P.P./I.D.). Together, the degrees take about three years to complete. Students take core courses from each of the programs and a wide range of elective courses during the final year of study. Students also take three courses exclusive to the joint-degree program. These courses include a seminar that combines elements of both programs, an integrative course in business and government, and a capstone project that requires students to travel overseas for one week.

    • At the bachelor's degree level, Regis University offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Organizational Development. This degree program has a decidedly business focus that can provide students with a strong background in business development. The coursework for this degree can be completed either online or on the Regis University campus. The B.A. degree can be pursued separately or in conjunction with the school's M.B.A. degree. The B.A. degree requires the completion of 128 credit hours and takes four years to complete. When combined with the M.B.A., students can complete both degrees in five years by completing a total of 152 credit hours.     • A business administration degree at the bachelor's degree level with an emphasis in business development can also prepare you for a career in business development. The Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree offered by American Intercontinental University (AIU) is offered with an emphasis in the field of organizational psychology and development. The degree program is offered in an online format as a degree completion program. This means that students need to have completed most of their general education requirements prior to enrolling in the AIU degree program. AIU requires an additional 27 general-education requirements as part of its program. The remainder of the coursework reflects the emphasis of the program. Courses include studies in Organizational Behavior, International Legal and Ethical Issues in Business, Global Operations Management, Marketing Management and Employee Motivation.
