DIY Tissue Paper Topiary Centerpieces
- 1). Cut out 30 circles from colorful tissue paper to measure 6 inches in diameter each. Use pinking shears, which will cut the edge in a scalloped pattern.
- 2). Cut down the length of a paper-towel tube, then twist the tube into a cone. Tape the seam of the cone with masking tape to secure it in place.
- 3). Insert a glue stick into a hot glue gun, then plug in the hot glue gun and allow it to heat up for 10 minutes.
- 4). Squeeze a line of hot glue around the wide end of the cone, and then press the glue-covered cone end into a small terra cotta pot. Allow the hot glue to cool for two minutes.
- 5). Cover the cone with a layer of tacky glue.
- 6). Push your finger into the center of a tissue-paper circle, wrapping the tissue paper over your finger. Tap your finger onto the glue-covered cone, which will cause the tissue paper to adhere to the cone.
- 7). Repeat this process to adhere each tissue-paper circle onto the cone, transforming it into a colorful topiary.
- 8). Allow the glue to dry for 30 minutes before displaying the tissue-paper topiary.
