The growing enthusiasts of the gel candle preparation have risen since the start of time.
No one knew how candles first started exactly and when.
Basically they function normally as the regular candles however; they have different ingredients or formulation than those of the norm.
It is true that almost all candles are made through oil.
Although it goes the same truth for the gel candles yet they are formed with mineral content of 95% and polymer resin content which is 5%.
For resin, is it mainly powder but when combined with mineral oil, it basically changes to a solid phase.
One thing more, gel candles are classified with the high consistency, medium consistency and low consistency states.
These consistency states are explained that with the highest one, it strong, hard to meld, though could carry on a large amount of aroma in.
As for the medium and low, medium consistency tends to just right and carries also just the right amount of aroma in comparison with the lower one that could be easily poured but holds only a small amount of aroma in it.
In the preparation process, gel waxes simply abide with how normal candles are formed.
They are melted or dissolved as well and spilt into dry candle bowls.
Yet the deep fryer is used to heat up and melt these gel candles properly rather the commonly used double boiler.
If you eve try to heat gel waxes into a double boiler it would take you a long time to do it.
Deep fryers in actual are kind of like a multi-cooker that are non-sticking pans with a temperature dial that let's you measure the pans temperature if it's enough to be handled by the wax.
Though at times, it is still best to use the natural thermometer to do the job right from the start.
It is even good to note that using wooden spoons are not advisable in stirring or mixing up the wax content.
You could either opt for a metal spoon or a plastic spoon so no bubbles will be produce in the end.
On another hand, keep a fire extinguisher in your work place while mixing up gel candles because gel waxes are easy to catch fire.
Using dyes is another common thing when preparing gel candles.
Be careful not to over use the dye since one drop of it might be too much already.
Use liquid dyes instead of crayons, soap dyes, clothing dyes or food coloring dyes.
You gel candles will not light up the right way, because these colorings are not specified to be used for candles.
To add, are quite the best and the most unique candles you could possibly prepare.
Spicing it up more, gel candles have the ability to float, hence a great gift for your loved ones.
They are fast and easily done with no worries.
Another point is, they tend to burn up slowly than the common candles we have so it lasts quite long compared to other candles.
