How To Get Rid Of Whiteheads - What You Never Knew About Whiteheads

The reason why many people find it extremely difficult to get rid of white heads is because they don't have the slightest clue about what whiteheads are.
There is an adage that says "people fear things in proportion to their knowledge about those things".
Until you have the right idea about what whiteheads truly are, you will be unable to rid your beautiful face of whiteheads successfully.
Acne is a common skin condition that specifically affects teenagers and young adults.
It causes different bumps to appear on the skin particularly on the face.
These different bumps include blackheads, nodules, pustules and of course white heads.
Whiteheads are pus-filled acne, which is formed when excess sebum (the natural oil produced by the face which acts as a moisturizer) clogs up the hair follicles or the skin's pores.
The oil mixes with patches of dead skin cells and other debris (often airborne) and stays just below the surface of the skin, when this happens, whiteheads are formed.
As long as white heads are closed off from oxygen, they will remain white.
Immediately they come in contact with air, they become oxidized and turn to blackheads - another form of acne.
The reason why whiteheads are filled with pus is that as excess sebum and dead skin cells mix up with debris and settle under the skin, the immune system of one's body attacks the bacteria, causing the skin's pores to become reddened, inflamed and develop pus.
At this stage, it is often advised to leave whiteheads alone.
After treating whiteheads or other forms of acne; the next thing that comes up is scars, which is often as a result of managing whiteheads ignorantly.
Also, one of the reasons why it takes long for most whitehead removing products to yield effective results is because we do not leave whiteheads alone.
Picking or squeezing whiteheads or any other form of acne for that matter is very wrong.
Squeezing whiteheads will only push the bacteria causing whiteheads further into the skin.
The resultant effect of this action is that it will take longer for whiteheads to heal and spread the bacteria under the skin causing more whiteheads to breakouts.
It is better to have whiteheads removed by a dermatologist, but if you cannot afford that, meet a specialist to tell you what best steps to take.
While waiting for a specialist, you can increase your intake of skin-friendly fruits and foods that will help you reduce inflammation and prevent further breakout of whiteheads.
