• The Harmony 1100 is an advance, touch-screen remote that allows users to control up to 15 different devices, including Insignia brand televisions. Built with a 3.5-inch color display, users can customize commands to select and operate devices. Logitech's "One Touch" technology allows users to easily select a command to start a device, removing the need to scroll through various menus to start a device. The Logitech Harmony also uses rechargeable batteries, eliminating the need for finding and buying new batteries. The remote will require a PC or Mac in order to install and activate.
  
  

Philips Prestigo Universal Remote

• Phillips' Prestigo touch-screen remote "allows users to see only the keys they need," according to Phillips. The remote uses an "activity based" control menu that allows for easy access to devices and channels, allowing users to quickly find and watch their favorite programs. Using the "activity based' menu, users can easily switch from one device to another; additionally, all the keys and screen are illuminated by a backlight to provide the clearest view of keys and commands. Like the Harmony, the Prestigo is operated by rechargeable batteries.

• The Xsight Touch by Acoustic Research gives users an instant setup remote, without the need of a computer or user manual. Users can customize their remote's setup to include customized movie, television and other device commands. With Xsight, users can create a personal profile for each family member, allowing users to add a family member's picture and favorite channel preferences. The Xsight is capable of controlling 18 different devices and is equipped with an LCD color display menu.
