Do it Yourself Rear Speaker Installation on a 1993 Toyota Camry
- 1). Lift the bottom of the rear seat firmly to release the retaining clips that hold it in place. Remove the 12mm bolts at the bottom of the seat back exposed by the bottom seat removal, using a 12mm socket, ratchet handle and extension.
- 2). Pry up the sides of the brake light cover on the rear deck with a panel tool to remove. Remove two 10mm bolts holding the light in place, lift it up and out and unplug the connectors.
- 3). Pry around the edges of the rear pillar trim panels and pull the panels away when all the clips are loose.
- 4). Pry off two plastic screw covers from the front of the rear deck panel and take out the 10mm screws holding the panel in place. Slide the panel forward after lifting it upward to release the clips holding it in place.
- 5). Remove the three 10mm bolts holding each speaker in place, lift the speakers out and disconnect the wiring plugs.
- 6). Connect the wiring plugs to your new speakers, place the speakers into the openings and screw into place. Test the speakers and reassemble the interior by reversing the preceding steps.
