Unfortunately He Forgot to Take Off His Jacket and Fanny Pack at the Vending Machine

In the future, Sam walked up to the vending machine and bought a couple of snacks, they were charged to his iPhone 10, and of course he would pay later just as they used to do with those old credit cards in the past.
Later on, he looked at his expenses for the month and he noticed that vending machine had charged him a "surtax" because he bought an Apple Pie and Twinkies.
It had never done that before, and he wondered why.
It turns out that the visual recognition system noted that he was slightly overweight, and that eating such foods could lead him to have diabetes at an early age, and that sort of behavior would raise the cost of the healthcare services that he would someday need.
Because ObamaCare had gone into a fact in 2012, there was now universal healthcare the United States.
There's only one problem with all of this, and that is; Sam works out every day, and often jogs for 5 miles, and he is in better shape than 95% of the rest of America.
So why did the vending machine charge him more money? Then he realized, he forgot to take off his jacket and his fanny pack, and the vending machine visual recognition system assumed that he was larger than he was, and overweight.
The reality is he is a little heavier than folks of his height, but that's because he is almost pure muscle from all the work out he does each day, which also keeps him in great health.
If anything the vending machine should have given him those snacks for free, not charged him a surtax.
Now then, is this hypothetical future concept possible? It very well could be, and that's where we are headed, as these socialist leaning thinkers, bureaucrats, do-gooders, and politicians wish to have what they call "sin taxes" on everything from cigarettes to alcohol, and from junk food to anything that happens to have transfat in it.
You see this something very wrong with universal healthcare, and that is it won't work in the United States due to the fact that our health care costs are raising nearly 8% per year.
Eventually the system will collapse unless they find ways to cut back, and since they are paying for your health care, and can't afford to give healthcare to everyone, they are going to find ways to dictate what it is that you eat.
And I wouldn't put it past them to charge everyone a carbon tax for every breath they take either.
There's already talk in the global warming community about charging cattle farmers for every head they have as each cow puts out methane, yes a greenhouse gas.
All I can say to those who would vote for a socialist politician or socialist policies is; be careful what you wish for because the future could look a lot like the past, those past civilizations which have failed because of socialism.
