    • 1). Remove dry, small stains with a clean pencil eraser. Gently rub the pencil eraser on the dry stain. The dry stain should rub off easily. Make sure the eraser is clean, and use the technique only on small, dry stains.

    • 2). Wet a clean cloth and apply a small amount of white vinegar. Gently rub the damp cloth on the stain in a circular motion. Make sure that the cloth is only slightly damp, not soaking wet. Use a dry cloth to pat the suede and remove the excess moisture. HowtoCleanStuff.net states that the leather may smell of vinegar, but it will fade over time. To allow the vinegar smell to fade, leave the suede clothing out, either on a clothesline or in an open space in your home.

    • 3). Use a wire suede brush to remove dry stains from suede shoes. Only gentle brushing is recommended. Wire suede brushes are available at shoe stores or repair shops.

    • 4). Store suede in a dark area when the clothing has been cleaned and dried to prevent the color from fading.
