Zediva is a video streaming service that can be played on media streamers and networked TVs that have a web browser. However, there is a twist. Instead of streaming a digital file of a movie, the viewer is actually watching a movie on an actual remote-located DVD player. As a result, the viewer actually controls the main playback control functions the DVD player, just as they would their own player. Initial Court Ruling Causes Zediva to Shut Down

Zediva Ordered to Permanently Shut Down and Pay Fine


As of October 28th, 2011, Zediva has been ordered to permanently shut down and also pay a $1.8 million dollar judgement fine as a result of a final court judgement based on the legal action taking by the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America). For the full details, read our Report.
