How to Decorate Walls With Tulle
- 1). Drape the tulle in sections along the wall so it looks like joined swags. Attach the tulle to the walls using tape or with a hook. Allow the tulle to hang in the center and then bring it up and attach it at the next point. Cover the attachment areas with balloons or ribbons.
- 2). Wrap a long string of Christmas lights loosely in tulle and hang the lights on the wall as usual. Use LED lights, because they don't get too hot. Only keep the lights on while you are entertaining so they don't burn out. Vary the color of tulle and lights to get different looks. For a Christmas party, use white Christmas lights in red tulle. For a wedding, try white lights wrapped in tulle that coordinates with the wedding's colors.
- 3). Create a tent appearance using long pieces of tulle. The tulle will need to be long enough to cover the wall, ceiling and wall on the other side. If this is not possible, then hide the connections points. Connect the tulle in the center of the ceiling and let it drape softly toward the wall. Attach it there and let it hang loosely down the wall. Repeat on the other side. Continue doing this in sections of tulle along the length of the room until the entire ceiling and two side walls are covered.
