How to Apply Bottle Labels

    • 1). Put the bottle up against the wood. The bottle should be upright and the wood perpendicular to the bottle. The length of the wood does not matter. It might be beneficial to have it at least 12 inches in length so that you can brace it with your arms. Make sure the wood is no more than 3 inches thick.

    • 2). Take the lid off the marker, and place it to the right or left of the bottle, depending on which hand you write with. Place it flat on the wood so that the tip sticks out about an inch.

    • 3). Make contact with the bottle to the marker, as the bottle and marker are braced against the wood for support. With your opposite hand, slowly turn the bottle so that the marker draws an even line on the bottom part of the bottle. This provides a straight line to help you align your label.

    • 4). Peel your label from the sheet.

    • 5). Line up the bottom of the label with the line you drew across the bottle.

    • 6). Start at the center of the label, and rub your thumb up and down to make sure the label is secure. Then, roll the bottle while your hand remains stationary to finish sticking the label onto the bottle. Repeat the opposite way.

    • 7). Wipe off the marker with a dry cloth.
