Lucky Boy Drive-In

• The Lucky Boy Drive-In is known for its burgers, but the restaurant also offers breakfast food for those on the go. Located on South Arroyo Parkway, across from Trader Joe's, the restaurant serves up classic omelets, egg sandwiches and breakfast burritos from 6 to 10:30 a.m. Try the burrito with ranch dressing and homemade salsa. Lucky Boy doesn't accept checks or credit cards, although there is an ATM on the premises.
  
  

Elements Cafe

• At the opposite end of the spectrum is Elements Cafe, an outdoor cafe in Old Town Pasadena that offers a delectable and healthy breakfast menu from 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, with a weekend brunch every weekend. Traditional breakfast foods are given an elegant twist, like the breakfast burrito with duck confit and french toast made with brioche. Elements uses organic, locally grown ingredients whenever possible and all juices are freshly squeezed for premium quality fare.
  
  

Marston's Restaurant

Across the street from Pasadena Memorial Park, Marston's has a huge breakfast menu ranging from simple, traditional dishes like Grandma's Oatmeal to unique locally-inspired creations such as chicken cilantro sausage and eggs, served from 7 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and 8 to 2:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. La Grande Orange Cafe

• Take a step back into American home cooking at La Grande Orange Cafe--known to locals simply as LGO--located in the historic 1935 Del Mar train station. The restaurant boasts of always using fresh, never frozen ingredients and organic, seasonal produce in its recipes. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on weekdays with a weekend brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Try the house-made English muffins, available to go by the half dozen or dozen, or the huevos rancheros, made with organic eggs on a cheese quesadilla, topped with homemade ranchero sauce. As of January 2011, children eat free until 6 p.m. each day.
