How to Recycle Ribbons

    • 1). Purchase a small- to medium-sized box that has a lid attached. Keep all of your ribbon in this box. This way, you'll know the exact location of your ribbon at all times and can easily access it.

    • 2). "Hang" your frames with the ribbon. Take your hanging frames off of the wall. Add a little dot of fabric glue toward the upper corners of the frame. Take two strips of ribbons (about 12 inches each) and glue the bottom of the ribbon to the corners of the frame. Allow one hour for the glue to completely dry. Turn the frame around and tie the ribbon together in a bow; hang the frame back on the wall. Place a tiny piece of double-sided tape on the underside of the bow. Hold the ribbon up and tape the bow to the wall. This will look like the bow is "holding up" the frames.

    • 3). Add some decorations to your candleholders. Wrap different types of ribbon around the base of your candleholders, and tie them into a bow. This will add color and a little cuteness to your plain candleholders.

    • 4). Add some color and spice to your ponytail. String a ribbon through a regular hair tie. Tie the ribbon into a knot so it stays in place. Put your hair into a ponytail using the hair tie. Turn the hair tie, as necessary, so the knot of the ribbon faces up. Tie the ribbon into a bow. You'll have an adorable bow in your hair that will not come undone.

    • 5). Donate your old ribbon to your local hobby and crafts store. Most craft stores will accept the ribbon and recycle it at the store.
