Your ringworm cause is due to skin fungi that lives on the dead layer of keratin protein located on top of the skin surface.

Ringworm also can live on animals, pets and ringworm infected soil.
Ringworm is commonly spread from human to human (anthropophilic), from the soil to a human (geophilic) or animal to person (zoophilic).
Your ringworm cause is not due to some sort of worm or any kind of insect but a fungal infection.
The remedy is normally determined by the fungi type and location.
Remedies for animals are different than for humans.
Grisiofulvin or ketaconazole can be used for your ringworm pet solution.
Cats may require a line sulfur dip.
Dogs may require the use of an anti fungal shampoo, cream or even medication.

For a very long time, the only effective anti fungal medication was griseofulvin (Grifulvin, Gris-PEG and Fulvicin).
To-day, other ingredients are available that are more effective and safer that include terbinafine, itraconazole (Sporanox) and fluconazole (Diflucan).
The oral medications are usually for a three month time period.
Natural ringworm remedies can include garlic, lemon or vinegar, ginger, essential oils, garlic, green walnut hull juice, grapefruit seed extract, gentian violet and tiger balm.
