How to Convert VCD to CD Using Windows Media Player
- 1). Open the media tray for the computer's CD-ROM or DVD drive and insert the pre-recorded VCD to be converted to CD, then close the tray.
- 2). Launch Windows Media Player.
- 3). Click the "Rip CD" button at the top of the screen to copy the files on the VCD to the computer. Each file will display the message "Ripped to Library" when the copy is complete.
- 4). Remove the VCD and replace it with a blank, recordable CD, then close the media tray.
- 5). Start Media Player once more, then click the "Burn" tab in the upper-right corner.
- 6). Click the "Videos" under the Library list on the left side of the screen to review the available video files. Click and hold the left mouse button to drag each file to the Burn list on the right.
- 7). Click the "Start Burn" button in the upper-right corner below the Play button to burn the files to the CD.
