How to Check the Running Applications on a MacBook

    • 1). Click the "Finder" icon in your Dock to open a new Finder window, then click the "Applications" folder shortcut link in the left column.

    • 2). Locate and open the "Utilities" folder in your "Applications" folder.

    • 3). Double-click the "Activity Monitor" icon to open the application.

    • 4). Click the "System Memory" tab to view a list of the applications currently open and running on your MacBook. Look in the "Virtual Memory" column to see the amount of RAM each application in using.
