How to Network an IP Camera
- 1). Place the IP cameras in the areas you want to monitor. Make sure each camera is connected to a power source.
- 2). Make sure your wireless router is turned on and connected to the cable or DSL modem via Ethernet cable. Use the installation CDs that came with the cameras to install the monitoring software on your computer.
- 3). Use the software installed to assign an IP address to each camera on the network. Make sure to create an administrative log-in and password to prevent unauthorized access. Test the new IP camera network by navigating to the IP camera's setup page via your Web browser.
