Say it in words. A way to honor the mother of the bride during the ceremony is to recite a poem. Whether you write it in your own words or use a published work, pausing to honor your mother in this way is one approach to share that moment with your guests. The poem can also be written inside the program booklet or given to your guests on a card as they enter the ceremony site. - 2

Present the mother of the bride with a bouquet of her favorite flowers. As a part of the ceremony, the officiant can inform the guests of the individual dedication. Both the bride and the groom can then walk to meet the mother of the bride and present her with the flowers. This allows the couple to have an intimate moment with the mother of the bride and share words of appreciation. - 3

Dedicate a particular song during the reception. A song can be poetic and meaningful and at the same time serve as a way for all the guests to join the couple in honoring the mother of the bride. The band or DJ can simply announce the dedication and then play a specific song, or, just like a father-daughter dance, the mother of the bride can join her daughter on the dance floor as they enjoy the song together. - 4

Make a toast. Typically the toast happens during the reception --- oftentimes to just the bride and groom. On the other hand, anyone in the bridal party or a member of the family can also say a few words and dedicate a toast to the mother of the bride, who often plays a major role in helping the bride plan and prepare for the wedding.
