Compatibility of the Sony Alpha A200K and Minolta Lenses
- The A200K has 10.2 effective megapixels and a 23.6 by 15.8 millimeter CCD sensor. It shoots in both RAW and JPEG file formats and has a 2.7 inch LCD screen.
- The A-mount originally was equipped on Minolta camera bodies, including the world's first SLR camera with integrated autofocus, the Minolta 7000. The A-mount system was first known as the Maxxum system in North America before it adopted the Alpha name, as it was called in Japan.
- Minolta developed 98 lenses and nine teleconverters that were A-mount compatible. The wide range of A-mount equipment included macro, wide angle and telephoto lenses. Included in this collection of lenses are Minolta's AF DT 18-200 wide-to-telephoto lens, the AF 100-400 super telephoto lens and the AF 70-210 zoom lens.
