How is everyone's attitude at work when you come in during the morning hours? Do you find most people are peppy and ready for the day to start or that most people say that they are tired? Chances are most people will say they are exhausted for one reason or another, but it may be tied back to daytime excessive sleepiness.
Sleepiness may not be the result of getting one bad night's sleep.
Instead, it could be the result of Excessive Daytime Sleepiness or EDS for short.
If you find that you are struggling to stay awake during the day and want to nap constantly at different times during the day, you may be suffering from EDS.
You may find that your need to nap during the day becomes stronger.
As you fight these urges, this often reduces your ability to work on other tasks.
You may find that your work production is slowed down dramatically and the work you need to do at home comes to a complete standstill.
This issue can be caused by a number of different events in your life.
For instance: 1.
If you take in too much caffeine or alcohol, you may develop a problem.

Smoking too much can lead to your sleepiness.
3.
Depression can cause many sleepless night.
4.
A traumatic life event can lead to EDS.
5.
Watching television late into the night.
6.
Playing violent games before bedtime may have you feeling "fired up".
Some of these causes you will have no control over, but some you do.
If you can control something by all means do so.
If you are having trouble smoking, go to your doctor for help.
If caffeine keeps you up at night either stop the consumption of coffee and sodas, or at the very least cut down on the amount you are drinking and do not drink past caffeine beyond early afternoon.
Sometimes tough love even when dealing with ourselves is needed.
If you find that you are struggling to get through your day and always feel tired, look to see if these causes may be present within your life.
Remember that sleep is one of the most important events in your body's day.
Getting proper sleep allows your body to go through the circadian rhythm so that it is rested and restored.
The circadian rhythm has been tied to helping you work closer to your full potential.
