How to Refinish a Lavatory Sink
- 1). Scrub the lavatory sink with a trisodium phosphate soap, using a sponge. Rinse the reservoir with wet rags and dry it with towels.
- 2). Scour the reservoir with 180-grit sandpaper until it feels rough. This promotes adhesion.
- 3). Apply masking paper to areas that are to remain unfinished, using painter's tape.
- 4). Coat the lavatory sink with spray primer. Maintain 8 inches between the reservoir and spray nozzle as you apply. Allow the sink to dry for three hours.
- 5). Coat the lavatory sink with appliance epoxy spray paint. Maintain 8 inches between the reservoir and spray nozzle as you apply. Allow the sink to dry for three hours.
