How to Make a Homemade Candle From Scratch in About an Hour and a Half

Are you ready to get started? Here is a list of what you are going to need: Wicks Wick tabs Wax Carving Knife Boiling pot Soup can Glass jar glue Alright! Now that you have what you need just follow these simple steps and you will have a homemade candle in no time at all! Step # 1.
String the wick through the wick tab if this is not already done for you.
Do not trim the wick yet, you are going to want to keep it long until the process is all done.
Step # 2.
Now take the soup can, make sure that it is clean and dry.
Now use the knife to cut pieces of wax in the soup can.
Step # 3.
Take the boiling pot and fill it with water.
Place the soup can in the center of the pot and bring the water to a boil.
Step # 4.
As you are waiting for the wax to melt make sure that you stir it often.
Now get the glass jar ready.
This can be one of the more annoying parts of making a homemade candle but if you take your time it should be no problem at all.
All that you need to do is glue the bottom of the wick tab to the bottom of the glass jar.
Step # 5.
Now the wax should be melted by now.
If you want to add any colors or scents than now is the time just be sure to mix them in well.
You are going to pour the wax in to the jar, be careful as the soup can and the wax are both very hot.
When this is done put the candle to the side for 24 hours.

Alright if 24 hours is up then take the candle, trim the wick to less than an inch in length, and you are done! Congratulations! You just made your very own homemade candle!
