Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and is known for its varied landscapes with beautiful forests, spectacular beaches, volcanoes and deserts.

There are many different places to visit and things to experience in Tenerife.
Located on the north east coast, Santa Cruz is the capital of Tenerife and it is popular with tourists who want to explore the north east area.
Santa Cruz is surrounded by the Anaga Mountains, providing an interesting backdrop to what is also a vibrant city.
The Anaga Mountains themselves can be explored and visitors can see archaeological remains at the Roques de Anaga.
Santa Cruz is also popular with shoppers who visit the Plaza de la Candelaria which is an excellent place to pick up goods at low prices.
Los Cristianos is very popular with tourists and is one of the most visited tourist resorts on the island.
As well as a range of shops, bars restaurants and cafes, Los Cristianos offers a range of activities including Glass bottom boat trips, pleasure cruises and deep sea fishing.
The Beaches in Los Cristianos are perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun and there is a water park and zoo close by.
Playa de las Americas is located near to Los Cristianos and is known for its nightlife.
The streets here are lined with bars, clubs and pubs and is popular with younger tourists looking for a night out.
During the day visitors can spend their time lazing on the beaches or visiting the various shops and cafes in the area.
Costa Adeje is located west of Playa de las Americas and is becoming one of Tenerifes most popular resorts.
Set against a backdrop of Mount Teide and with stunning views over the Atlantic ocean Coste Adeje is a very attractive area.
Activities to enjoy are plentiful and include Whale Watching, Wind Surfing and Scuba Diving as well as water parks and Golf.
The Beaches here are a mix of Golden and Volcanic black sands, most are sheltered bays and are perfect for young and old alike.
Teide National Park (Parque Nacional del las Canadas del Teide) was declared in 1954.
The park is dominated by Mout Teide, an dormant volcano and the highest peak in Spain.
During the winter months Teide can be covered in snow but during the summer months temperatures can reach 40 degrees.
Visitors can take trips up the mountain by cable car.
On a clear day there are stunning views.
Loro Parque opened in 1972 with just 150 parrots.
It is now a large zoo, with the worlds largest Pengium Exhibition and Europes longest shark tank and dolphin show pool.
There are many shows to see including the Sea Lion show, the Dolphin show, a Parrot show and an Orca Show.
Other animals on display at the zoo include, chimpanzees, sea lions, gorillas, marmosets, pelicans, iguanas, alligators, flamingos, jaguars, giant tortoises, tigers, exotic fish, piranhas, sea horses, and various sharks.
The Jungle Park is a large zoo set within tropical gardens near Los Cristianos with a range of animals to see including Birds of pray, Lions, Tigers, Pumas, Jaguars, Leopards, Alligators and penguins.
Other Attractions in the park include "bob", which is similar to a bob sled which takes visitors through the park in a more interesting way.
There are some shows to see too, The Bird of Pray show allows visitors to see birds of pray flying close by.
Golf del Sur is a resort is perfect for those who love a game of Golf.
The resort is relaxing, peaceful and the restaurants and accommodation are considered to be of a very high standard.
Of course, the main attraction of Golf del Sur is the 27 hole Championship Golf Course as well as a number of other smaller courses with it.
Tenerife is also home to a number of attractions on the water.
Whale watching is very popular with visitors to the island and Tenerife offers some of the worlds best Whale Watching tours and are available most days from the south of the island.
Glass bottom Boat rides allow visitors to see the life that exists just beneath the surface.
Diving is also available and there are many Scuba Diving centres who provide a range of services for those wishing to take a trip beneath the sea offering tourists the chance to see Tenerifes range of sea life in its natural habitat.
Tenerife has many places to visit and many things to do for people of all ages, families and tastes.
