Square Glass Vase Centerpieces to Make
- Fill a medium or large square vase with a bouquet of your favorite flowers. Choose one kind of flower and make even rows of the flower, use a variety of flowers or fill the vase 3/4 of the way and float flower heads on the water. Another option is to submerge flowers within the water. Anchor them with rocks, pebbles or other items. Use fresh or silk flowers for your arrangement. If you opt for silk flowers, they're easy to change throughout the year for a different look without costing a small fortune for fresh flowers (or devastating your garden).
- Candles can drastically change the look of your centerpiece. Use a single medium or large square vase, a group of three smaller vases or a group of three different-sized squares for your base. Fill the vase with water and any other accessory you'd like. Use floating candles in a color, shape or scent that matches the rest of your decor, the season or occasion. In lieu of water and floating candles, insert a small votive holder and votive candle in the center of the square vase. Use a single candle or group of three. Add accessory items inside of the vase, around the vase or between vases.
- Accessorize your square vase centerpieces with colorful pebbles, water beads, stones, rose petals, sand or any other object that fits in with the room. Place the vase on a round or square mirror for more options or to add additional accessories around the vase. For example, a square vase filled with sand, a votive candle inside of a holder and seashells could be set on a mirror with seashells and starfish sprinkled around the mirror. Three square vases of different sizes can house a pillar, votive and tea light candle with a rose head in between each vase. Fill the vase with smooth river rocks, water and a small branch or bonsai plant. Fill the vase with potpourri or rose petals for a simple look.
