Purchase a USB-to-mini USB cable. If your Chinese MP3 player didn't come with one, you need to get a USB-to-mini USB cable to connect the MP3 player to your computer. - 2). Download Windows Media Player (WMP), if you don't already have it. WMP is usually included on all personal computers (PCs) using the Windows Operating Systems. But if you erased the program or are using a MAC, Windows Media Player can be downloaded for free from the Microsoft website (see "Resources"). WMP recognizes Chinese driver software and if you are uploading songs with Chinese titles, recognizes Chinese writing as well.
- 3). Rip music to WMP. If your music is on a CD, you need to rip the music to your WMP library. Load the CD into your disc drive. Open WMP and click on the small arrow underneath "Rip." Scroll over "Format" and when the other window pops up, select "MP3." Then click "Rip." The music from your CD will upload into your music library.
- 4). Add MP3s already on your computer to your WMP music library. Shrink (but don't close) WMP and go to your music folder. Right click on the music folder or song file and click "Add to Windows Media Player list." The MP3 you selected will be added to your music library.
- 5). Go back into your WMP and connect your MP3 player to your computer using one of the USB ports. The small end of the USB cable will connect to the MP3 player, while the large end will connect to the computer. Because driver software is already loaded onto Chinese MP3 players, your computer and WMP should automatically recognize the player and a sync window will pop up on the right. If the sync window doesn't automatically open, click the sync button at the top.
- 6). Drag your music to the sync window. Drag as many songs as you want while being careful not to go over your available space, as indicated above the sync window.
- 7). Sync your music to the MP3 player. Click the sync button located at the bottom of the sync window. Don't interrupt the sync.
- 8). Safely disconnect the MP3 player from your computer. When the sync is complete, there will be an indicator telling you that it is safe to disconnect. Remove the cord from the MP3 player and your computer.
