Cut two pieces of plywood measuring 12 inches by 24 inches. Outline a door, 6 inches wide and 8 inches high, 1 inch from the edge of one of the pieces. Cut out completely. These are the front and back walls. - 5). Rip a piece of 1-by-6 pine board lengthwise to create two boards measuring 3 inches wide by 24 inches long. These will be your top braces.
- 6). Attach the sides to the floor. Squirt construction adhesive along the edge of each piece then secure with pre-drilled 1 5/8-inch screws.
- 7). Glue and place the room divider between the door and the wide area of the house. Attach with screws through both the front wall and the bottom of the floor.
- 8). Lay the roof braces across the top of the box, flush with the walls. Secure in place with construction adhesive and pre-drilled screws.

Cut two pieces of plywood to measure 18 1/4 inches wide at the base and 9 inches in height. These will be the roof ends. - 2). Measure and cut one roof top, 13 1/2 inches long by 28 inches wide, out of the plywood; cut the other side of the roof to measure 13 inches by 28 inches.
- 3). Take a 2-by-4 board and cut to measure 24 1/8 inches long. This will be your roof support.
- 4). Use a piece of plywood measuring 24 1/8 inch long by 7 1/2 inch wide to make a roof base. Think of this piece as the cat house "ceiling."

Lay the ceiling flat across the cat house. Glue and nail the roof support across the middle of the ceiling. - 2). Attach the two triangle-shaped roof ends to the roof assembly. Allow the ends to drop 1 inch below the base, so the roof will overhang the house.
- 3). Place the roof tops across the ends, butted up and forming a "V." Allow a 2-inch overhang on each end. Glue, pre-drill and secure with screws. Caulk all air gaps and finish as appropriate.
