    • 1). Wipe the sink and just inside the drain with a towel to remove any moisture. Pour 1 cup baking soda into the sink drain.

    • 2). Pour 1 cup white vinegar down the drain immediately after you add the baking soda. The mixture will foam in the sink. Allow it to sit in your drain for 30 minutes.

    • 3). Boil a gallon of water and pour it into the drain to flush out the foam. Examine the sink to see if you still notice the bad smell.

    • 4). Pour 1 cup chlorinated bleach down the sink drain if you still notice the smell. Allow the bleach to sit for 30 minutes, and then rinse the drain with hot water. The bleach will help to break down any remaining bacteria.
