    • 1). Press the "Start" button in the bottom toolbar, choose "Help and Support" and select "Ask for assistance." In the new window choose,"Invite a friend to connect to your computer with Remote Assistance."

    • 2). Choose "Invite Someone To Help You," and then click "Save Invitation As A File."

    • 3). Type a name into the "Name" box and choose a time limit for the invitation. Press "Continue." Create a password that you will give to the person requesting assistance and click "Save Invitation." In the "Save File" dialog box, choose a location such as the "Desktop" and click "OK."

    • 4). Open your Web browser and navigate to Yahoo.com. Click on "Mail" in the left column. Login to your account by entering your username and password and click "Login."

    • 5). Click on "Compose" to open a new email. Type the email address of the person requiring assistance in the "To" field. Press "Attach" and navigate to the file you created, choose it and press "OK." Click "Send."

    • 6). Advise the person receiving the remote assistance invitation of the password you created for this file. Ask the person to check their email open the file you sent. This will begin the remote assistance session.
