• Keep in mind that most wedding sites do not come with tent accommodations, so you will most likely need to rent a tent. They can range from $100 to more than $6,000. That does not even include accessories such as tent heaters, tent lighting and marquees that line the entrance way to the tent. If you have the budget to spend that much on tents for the reception, you'll have the budget to decorate it beautifully.
  Start with your color choice for the wedding and work your way from there. Remember it is all about color, and color sets the mood. Once you have chosen your colors, move on to specific decorations that match the theme of the wedding. For example, if you are having your wedding in spring, mounds of flowers is the best way to go. For a winter wedding, consider hanging ice crystals from the tent ceilings. This would give an icy, glowing feeling to one of the most beautiful times of year.
  You can even think about a clear-top tent if the reception is at night so you and your guests can dance under the stars. This not only allows for a more open feeling, but is quite romantic.
  Even more romantic would be a Tuscan-themed reception, where you hang grapevines and rich-colored floral pieces from the tent ceiling. Adding wooden slats to the inside of the tent also makes it feel more enclosed.
  
  

Lighting

• Don't forget tent lighting. You can create interesting shadows as well as giving it a dark, romantic feeling using amber lights. You'll get an even more extravagant effect with crystals catching the light and sparkling like diamonds. Lighting has the ability to take your guests eyes to a particular area, as well as deter them from other areas that might not have been completely decorated.
