    Greenhouse

    • Make an inexpensive, simple greenhouse for the gardener in your life. Create a frame by using basic 10-inch PVC pipes. Cement pipes together to make the long sides of the greenhouse long enough. Cut PVC pipes with a hacksaw to make the sides of the frame the right length. Cement the sides of the frame together until you have the basic shape. Place a plastic greenhouse sheet over the frame and use the small greenhouse as a way to give vegetables and flowers an early start before the weather warms up enough to plant them.

    Protective Tube

    • Use PVC piping as a protective tube for items such as fishing poles. Measure the height and width of the item you want to store. Choose a PVC pipe large enough so you can place the item inside of it. Cement a PVC cap, available with the PVC pipes in a home improvement store, onto one end of the pipe, sealing it. On the other end of the cap, cement a threaded fitting and choose a matching threaded cap so you can screw the cap on and off.

    Bottle Tree

    • Bottle trees are commonly seen in the southern United States and they are often a tree in someone's yard with glass or plastic bottles placed all over the limbs. Create a bottle tree using PVC pipes. Create the trunk of the tree by using a long PVC pipe. Bury the pipe about a foot in the ground so it will be sturdy. Attach a joint to the top of the pipe you are using for the trunk that allows you to attach several other pipes to it to create branches. Continue doing this with smaller trunks and smaller PVC pipes until you have the general appearance of a tree. Place bottles on the ends of the PVC pipes.

    Velcro Game

    • Create a square frame using four PVC pipes of equal lengths and connecting them at the corners with 90 degree joints. Cut a piece of Velcro fabric large enough to fit in the center of the frame. Connect the fabric to the frame by looping Velcro strips around the frame and attaching them to the large piece of cloth. Paint the cloth so it looks like a target, applying different point totals to different sections. Hang the target from a tree or from the eaves of a porch and use Velcro balls to play a target game.
