How to Make Foot Bracelets
- 1). Loop a measuring tape around your ankle, down around your big or second toe and back up to the metal tip at the beginning of the tape. Note the measurement where the tape touches the beginning of the metal tip. This is the length of the foot bracelet.
- 2). Cut a length of elastic beading cord 4 inches longer than the desired length of the foot bracelet. The extra 4 inches will make knotting the cording easier.
- 3). Wrap the center of the elastic cording around the toe you measured earlier. Clip the elastic cord at the two points where it clears the top of your toe with alligator clips. Measure the distance between the two clips. Remove one of the clips.
- 4). Thread seed beads over the end of the elastic cording closest to the clip that you removed. Thread the seed beads to the alligator clip still attached to the cording. Thread a length of seed beads equal to the measurement for the toe. Remove the remaining alligator clip.
- 5). Measure the top of your foot from the end of the toe to the center of the foot. Hold the ends of the elastic beading cord so that they are even. The row of seed beads will be in the center. Add 4mm beads over each end of cording to equal the length between the toe and the center of your foot. Thread the beads to the seed beads. Make sure that the ends of the cording are still even.
- 6). Hold the ends of the cording together. Thread the large 15mm center-drilled bead over both ends of the cording. Slide the bead until it touches the 4mm beads.
- 7). Separate the cording and continue to thread 4mm beads to within 2 inches from each end of the cording. Tie the ends of the cording together in a triple overhand knot. Thread the ends of the cording back through the 4mm beads. Cover the knot with jeweler's glue. Let the glue dry.
