Previously, I reported on Tablo, an Over-the-Air DVR product put out by Nuvyyo. To summarize, Tablo is a DVR system that all video recording of over the air-TV broadcasts and allows users to distribute live or recorded programing through your home network via Ethernet or Wifi through an Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku (box, streaming stick, or rokutv), or other compatible devices to a TV. The Tablo does not provide hardwire connection options, such as HDMI).

Now, in addition to its current DVR line-up, Nuvyyo was onhand at the 2015 CES with a new variant, it labels the Tablo Metro, which is the first DVR that actually features built-in TV antennas (in other words, you don't have to plug-in an additional indoor or outdoor antennas to receive TV signals).

The Tablo Metro is targeted for those that live in an urban environment in close proximity to local TV broadcasting towers (within 25 miles - and relatively free of physical obstacles that can interfere with broadcast signals).

Also, unlike the standard Tablo, which can be purchased with either 2 or 4-tuner configuration, the Tablo Metro only provides two built-in tuners.

In addition, in a parallel announcement, Nuvyyo also revealed improvements to its apps for use with the Roku, Amazona Fire TV, and Android TV operating systems.

The Tablo Metro is expected to be available for delivery by March 2015, but can be pre-ordered now via the Tablo Metro product page for $249.99. The updated Apps will also be available soon, refer to the Tablo Apps Page for more details as they become available.
