How to Grind Interior Concrete Floors
- 1). Spread a 1/2 inch layer of water over the concrete surface in a 4 to 5 square feet work area.
- 2). Attach the 1800-grit pad to the grinder, plug the grinder in. Move the grinder over the work area until the surface is almost dry.
- 3). Apply water and grind the remaining floor area, working in small 4 to 5 square feet work areas.
- 4). Unplug the grinder and replace the 1800-grit pad with the next higher grit.
- 5). Wet the floor again and grind the concrete with the higher grit pad until the concrete is nearly dry. Continue working in small areas.
- 6). Continue wetting and grinding the concrete floor, replacing the grinding pads with progressively higher grit pads until you have used the 3500-grit pad or until you have achieved the finished concrete surface you desire.
