How to Fix Sideway Monitor Displays in Windows XP
- 1). Try rotating your screen using the following combination key: Press and hold "Ctrl," "Alt," and the "UP" arrow key together. This combination can generally rotate your screen back to normal.
- 2). Right-click your graphic display cards icon on the system tray if you still have a sideways display. Click "Graphic Options" or "Graphic Properties" depending on your display card and select "Rotation." Select "Normal" to rotate your screen back to normal.
- 3). Right-click an empty spot on your desktop if you do not see your graphic display cards icon on the system tray. Select "Properties" to launch the display properties window.
- 4). Click the "Settings" button and click "Advanced" to open the monitor settings window. Select your graphics adapter tab and select the display settings. Locate the "Hot Keys" options and select "0" or "Normal" to rotate your screen upright. If your display card has an option to disable the "Hot Key" rotation, select it.
- 5). Click "OK" to save the changes and click "OK" again to close the display properties window.
