Video: Waxing Skin With Baking Soda
Video Transcript
Hi, I¡¯m True Beauty expert, David Pollock. And, I¡¯m here to share with you tips about waxing your skin with baking soda. Baking soda has many uses. We all have it in our homes. But, you¡¯re going to be surprised to learn some tips of how it can help you when waxing your legs. First of all, create a hot compress using warm water and baking soda. Dip a washcloth in or a towel, and then lay them over the legs. What it¡¯s going to do is soften the skin and help loosen up the ingrown hairs. Don¡¯t ever tweeze. Tweezing¡¯s only going to create problems as we start to wax ¨C it¡¯ll irritate the skin. Next, dust your legs with a little bit of baking soda. It¡¯s going to absorb excess oils, allowing the wax to stick to the hair and your skin a little bit better without those oils interfering. Also, it¡¯ll allow you to see some of the minor or smaller, thinner hairs that you wouldn¡¯t normally have seen, so you can get a good, even removal. Then, after you¡¯re done waxing, smooth a little bit of baking soda over your skin and let it help soothe the skin. I hate to say it, but it¡¯s going to help absorb any of the blood that¡¯s come up from the roots of the skin. So, you want to have that absorbed. And then, follow with a little bit of a jojoba oil, and that¡¯s going to help soften the skin as well.
