How to Remove Word Tracking Marks
- 1). Locate the "Review Tab" and select the "Tracking" option. This will reveal the tracking group of icons. Turning off the tracking does not eliminate what has already been tracked. It simply means that from that point forward whatever is typed in that document can be done without having its actions tracked.
- 2). Click the "Track changes" icon which is located along the review tab in Microsoft Word 2007 or later versions.
- 3). Right-click on the status bar where the tracking icons are located near the top of the document. Eliminate the icons from your toolbar by clicking on the "Track Changes" choice in the drop-down menu. The toolbar for track changes should disappear.
