Nike 'Cortez 06'

I've owned and loved a lot of Nike shoes over the years, but when I'm in the mood for a classic, comfortable style, it's always the Nike Cortez I come back to.

There are different versions of the Nike Cortez. Some are leather, others are nylon, and of course, new color combinations are released every so often. I've always had a slight preference for the nylon versions, and being the girly-girl that I am, I tend towards pinks, baby blues, purples, and whites.

Imagine my delight when I stumbled across the Nike Cortez 06 on sale for less than $40 at Eastbay.com. There are four color combinations currently available: pink, purple, mint green, and pink with a white swoosh, but only the solid-colored versions are on sale at this price. The pink and white version is back-ordered, and is still priced at just under $55.

Whether you manage to grab these classic Nike sneakers on sale or not, they're great go-to shoes for pairing with jeans and t-shirts.
